Hi friends :)
I am sharing here a DIY project I did to cover a chipped off section on our home's main entrance door.
Since this was a quick idea and an even quicker project things lying at home were used viz,
1. Round price/brand tag (Rangmahal Brand Tag, in my case)
2. Fevicryl / Acrylic paints
3. Ganesha sticker or flat based Ganesha figurine
4. Fevicol
5. Double sided tape
To begin with one can assess the area that needs to be covered and use material accordingly. In my case the Rangmahal brand tag was perfect for covering the entire bit, alternatively thin plastic boards or cardboard pieces lying useless in the house can be used too. Shapes can also vary as per one's choice, availability and need.
Below you can see the chipped off section on the door.

(in the picture above the tag that I used)
Old marriage invitation lying at home had just the perfect little Ganesha clay stick-on for me (one can use figures or stickers or cutouts of a variety of object/cartoons etc as per their liking)
Next on I used yellow fevicryl paint and double coated one side of my tag with it (change colours as per your own project) Immediately afterwards, while the paint was still wet I applied a thick coat of fevicol (any adhesive would do) on the back of the Ganesha figurine and jammed it right in the centre of the tag very carefully so as to avoid spoiling the wet paint. (The wetness of the paint would also act as adhesive to an extent )
Thereafter I let the entire thing dry for 24 hours (fevicryl paints tend to take a little longer to dry)
Once the drying process was over I made a little red zig zag paint filling on the circumference with tiny green dots in every zig zag triangle to make it a little perky (alter designs and colours- use your own creativitiy) ....my tag looked somewhat like this....
The yellow area looked a little too much (plain) so I added these orange lines and voila it was ready :) Use varnish coat (alternative) for shine.
Two pieces of double sided tape at the back of this tag (increase or decrease the number of tapings as per the size of the thing) and there it is :) (see picture below). Adorns my entrance till date :) :)
Who would know about the ugly chipped off area behind this pretty thing ;)
Try it, or better give this little idea your own twist and share along :)
Happy crafting!
